Certified quality
Always an essential objective
Quality is at the center of the attention of the Cariani Company which, to ensure the food safety of its consumers, implements a strict control system.
Since 1997 it has adopted the HACCP system (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and a set of procedures to guarantee the healthiness of food through monitoring and prevention.
Cariani's production plant is authorised with the EC stamp, a recognition that implements the HACCP system with a series of structural and procedural prerequisites necessary for the management of risks to food of animal origin.
In 2021, Cariani was awarded the prestigious IFS (International Food Standard) certification, the standard recognised by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) that defines the processes required to ensure food safety.
With this certification, Cariani wants to give evidence of its commitment to the quality and global safety of its products, facing future challenges with a new vision.
Porchetta Umbra is included in the list of Prodotti Agroalimentari Tradizionali Italiani (Traditional Italian Agri-foodstuffs), which identifies those products whose processing, preservation and ageing methods are documented as having been consolidated over time on the basis of local customs and therefore inextricably linked to the territory and its history.
The Bevagna's Porchetta from the Cariani's company wins the "two slices" award in the 2023 edition of the Gambero Rosso Guide "Grandi Salumi", a selection of the best expressions of Italian butchery. Discover more...
